Features
140-Degree Wide Angle Lens
The IROAD dash camera comes with a 140-degree angled lens giving a wide viewing angle to minimise blind spots for better footage and recordings.
Parking Mode with Energy Saving Consumption
With IROAD dash camera parking mode the power consumption is reduced enabling the camera maximum recording time. The IROAD parking mode dash cameras has built in battery discharge prevention meaning the camera automatically powers off when the voltage falls below a certain set value.
Built-in GPS
The IROAD FC series of dash cameras come with GPS enabling for precise pinpoint location of the vehicle’s location and routes on the map, whilst also reading and displaying the vehicle speed. This data is vital if the footage is required or needed in an accident scenario.
1080p FHD 2CH High-Definition Video Quality
With the CMOS image sensors this allows the IROAD dash camera constant FHD 1080p recording using the 140-degree wide angle lens. The quality of lens will minimise blind spots and assure recording for all types of events.
Night Vision (Night-time Picture Quality Correction)
When the IROAD dash camera records in low light the IROAD NIGHT VISION is activated and this uses the ISP (Image Signal Processing) technology within the dash camera, giving real-time image processing, which provided a brighter image for both night-time driving and during parking mode.
Hyper Lapse – 4 x More Recording Kit
Hyper lapse gives increased recording time by compressing the recorded footage which enables more space for footage. When an event, impact, or incident occurs the frame rate will switch to 30fps to ensure you have clear images and footage when it is needed.
Time Lapse – Longer recording time for when parked
IROAD time lapse is a low-capacity recording system that will minimise the storage space by compressing and saving files in parking mode at 1fps. If you have an event, impact, or incident during parking mode the camera will switch to 30fps to ensure you have clear images and footage when it is needed most.
ADAS 2.0 (Advanced Driver Assistance System)
The IROAD FX range of dash cameras come with ADAS and provide audio and visual alerts for LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System), FCWS (Front Collision Warning System) as well as FVDW (Front Vehicle Departure Warning). The IROAD dash cameras will detect road markings to enable voice warnings to the driver if they stray out of the lanes marking, or when the vehicle is at risk.
LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System)
The IROAD dash cameras LDWS system works by using the front camera to recognise lane markings and if the driver is driving poorly which causes the vehicle to depart the lane, then the IROAD camera will give a clear audible warning to the driver.
FVDW (Front Vehicle Departure Warning)
When the vehicle is stopped/in traffic the FVDW system will alert the driver if the vehicle in front has started to move, preventing delays, and improving reactions when driving.
FCWS (Forward Collision Warning System)
The IROAD FCWS system works by calculating the average distance from the vehicle in front of you and will alert the driver in advance when reaching the safety range for breaking distance, to aid in collision prevention when driving.
High-Temperature Protection
The IROAD dash cam FX range of cameras are manufactured to work in both high and low temperatures. If the camera overheats at any time the software will automatically shut down the camera to protect the device and to start cooling immediately.
Automatic Exposure (Light Exposure)
Light exposure when driving is when a strong sudden and direct light is exposed to the camera at night. The IROAD FX range of dash cameras will adjust the amount of light exposure to ensure clearer images in such situations.
Format Free 2.2
The IROAD FX range of dash cameras use a file format which has a higher compression rate that uses memory space for efficiently. This ensures high quality images and recordings.
Format Free 2.2 is a storage technology developed by IRAOD to maximise the life span, stability, and efficiency of the memory cards.
Recording Modes
Continuous Recording Mode
Upon starting your vehicles engine this mode is activated and records. Videos are saved in one-minute segments and the dash cameras works on auto loop so once the card is full will overwrite the oldest footage.
Event Recording Mode
Event recording mode is activated when motion or impact incidents are detected, both when driving and in parking mode and will save an event file on the SD card.
Manual Recording Mode
The IROAD dash camera comes with a manual recording button on the dash camera which you can press if you want to store an incident and protect that file if needed, such as witnesses poor driving, road rage, accident, or any other event you wish to store.
Once you have pressed the manual record button the dash cam will record and store a few seconds of footage, this will range from 5-10 seconds before, and 15-20 seconds after the button press. Manual recordings are file protected from overwriting (limit before overwriting is up to maximum 4% of the total SD card storage space).
Parking Impact Buffered Recording Mode
The built in G sensor will detect when an impact has occurred and will store an event file which will be protected from being over-written. This saved video will include 5-10 seconds before the event occurs and 15-20 seconds after the event has occurred.
Time-Lapse Parking Mode
Parking mode will record continuously at 1fps.When impact or an event occurs the camera will switch to 30fps for higher quality footage.
Motion Detection Parking Mode
When in parking mode the IROAD dash camera goes into sleep mode until movement is detected. When in this mode any motion any motion around the vehicle is recorded into an event file and separately stored on the SD card. This saved video will include 5-10 seconds before the event occurs and 15-20 seconds after the event has occurred.
