10 x 8mm SATIN Black 'U' Channel Edge Trim Per Metre

Tough to apply, as it was on the limit of fitting in my panel but encouraged it on eventually by holding it at right angles to the panel as much as possible to open up the U. Good news is that with the tightness, stiffness, and sticky centre (oo-err) it is staying where it should be. I lost a cheaper eBay alternative on the roads somewhere as it was too loose.

Used this to meet IVA requirement which stipulates that a body edging must be radiused suitably. I did not want to radius the body fibreglass edging as this would expose an area of glassfibre below gel coat. The fibreglass body was of very unequal thickness around the perimeter. Up to 6mm at bends and curves. A little sorting to the perimeter edging with a flap disk solved this unevenness. This trim is a little "stiff" so on cold days I use a hot air gun gently heating the trim as I progress around tight curves. The fillet of adhesive is a great idea. It took many metres to go around the entire perimeter but once in place it was for me the perfect solution. It is still in place several years later. Highly recommended indeed.

Really good quality trim, it only covers about 5mm of the panel which is far less than the embossed trims but perfect for the headlight surrounds on my Marcos.
