Bought this to complement the pop rivet tool I have been using since 1970. This type has the benefit of having a swivel head function. Principally this allows the tool to be used in the standard 90o angle and by swiveling the head section the tool can be us "in line" allowing use in narrow sectional areas. The frame is unusually "heavy duty" for a tool of this price. Having used it only briefly I cannot comment on the life span of the internal mechanism. Hopefully it will last as long as my original.... Far longer than I have left now
